Purpose of data processing

We process personal data in order to provide information about activities, services and topics related to AT-C³ and the electronic and semiconductor ecosystem, including in particular:

  • semiconductors and micro- and nanoelectronics,
  • Electronic and Software Based Systems (ESBS),
  • innovation, research and technology,
  • AT-C³ services and funding opportunities,
  • news, projects and activities,
  • invitations to and information about events,
  • organisation and implementation of events,
  • newsletters and other information services.

Personal data is generally provided voluntarily by the data subject, for example when registering for an event, subscribing to a newsletter, contacting us or requesting information.

 

Legal basis

Where processing is based on your consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Depending on the relevant interaction with us, we may process personal data such as:

Storage period

  • a longer retention period is required by law, or
  • the data is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

The necessity of further storage is reviewed periodically and data that is no longer required is deleted.

For the provision of our website, communication services, newsletters, events and other digital services, we may use external service providers acting on our behalf.

  • Sprit.org,

Where personal data is transferred to third countries, such transfers take place only in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR.

Where consent is required, the legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Where information is stored on or accessed from your terminal equipment, the applicable requirements of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021) also apply.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by changing your cookie or privacy settings on our website.

The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

 

Google Consent Mode

We may use Google Consent Mode in connection with Google Analytics.

Consent Mode enables the behaviour of Google tags to be adjusted according to the consent choices made by website visitors.

Your consent preferences are communicated to the relevant Google services so that data collection and processing can be adapted accordingly.

 

Data transfers

In connection with Google Analytics, personal data may also be processed by Google group companies outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred to the United States or other third countries, Google relies on recognised transfer mechanisms under the GDPR.

Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for covered data transfers.

Storage period

The retention period for data collected through Google Analytics depends on the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics property.

Analytics data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the applicable Google Analytics retention settings.

5. Direct Marketing

Where we process personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object to such processing at any time pursuant to Art. 21(2) GDPR.
