AT-C³ Consortium

The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) is the largest non-university research organization in Austria, with nine locations nationwide. AIT focuses on applied infrastructure research and collaborates with both industry and European and national authorities on implementing their sovereign tasks. Its research program enhances AT-C³’s technological foundation.

The Materials Center Leoben (MCL) is an internationally active research institution specializing in materials, production, and processing engineering, as well as innovative material applications. We focus on metallic materials, ceramic materials, and their composites for reliable electronics. The MCL conducts collaborative research and development projects with industrial partners and provides a wide range of services.

The Polymer Competence Center Leoben (PCCL) has led collaborative research in polymer technology and science in Austria for over ten years. More than a hundred of our experts conduct R&D across various polymer applications, including automotive, aerospace, packaging, and solar energy.

SAC provides highly specialized services and hand-picking projects for self-reinforcing high-innovation growth of partners and the region. SAC positions AT-C³ as Austria’s central contact point for companies and startups across the ESBS value chain.

Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) is Austria’s leading research center for Electronics and Software-Based Systems (ESBS). With locations in Graz, Villach, and Linz, approximately 350 employees work on innovative solutions for industrial production, healthcare, energy, mobility, safety, and more. SAL is thus shaping the high-tech loca­tion Austria and Europe and unfolding the future.

TU Graz is a leading technical university in Austria, renowned for its strong focus on engineering, natural sciences, and interdisciplinary research. Through its strategic Fields of Expertise and forward-looking lead projects, it strengthens its role as a driver of innovation in Europe. Within the AT-C³ project, TU Graz, with the Institute of Electronics, leads the skills and training programs. The goal is to develop future-oriented education formats and contribute to strengthening semiconductor competencies across Europe.
